The ABSplus has taken the stress of data loss out of my life. I already had a close encounter with a previous hard drive problem. At the time I was using a tape backup system that was a real pain to use. Consequently I didn't back up as often as I should have and was only able to restore from a year back. I wanted you to know I love (is that too strong a word) the CMS 1.5 TB Backup system you recommended. It came pre-configured for RAID+1 so installation & configuration was a snap – it was basically plug and go. My computer crashed yesterday. Blue screen of death. Couldn't even get to Safe Mode in windows. My backup system was at home, but our two local experts (and these guys are GOOD) worked on it all day trying to recover. Nothing. I went home certain that nothing short of a new hard drive or complete reimage would work. But figured I would try using my ABS... It worked like a charm. CMS have thought it through and they have a winning solution. External v internal backup - external I leave in the office when I go on trips, if I get my laptop stolen it's still there when I get back. If it was an internal backup like a mirrored drive, if I lost my laptop I would lose the backup too! plug in and it backs up! it's that easy! bootable - you stick it in your laptop and the laptop carries on like nothing has happened. Absolute winner!

I have been using BounceBack Professional for about three years. I have found your software to be faultless in performance and the perfect solution for the home office. I have four computers and although they are protected from hard drive failure with raid 1 this does not provide any solution for files that become corrupted or are erroneously modified. Nor does it provide a solution for catastrophes due to power surge or fire. Using BounceBack Professional to backup my systems to large external hard drives I can swap out external hard drives and swap the drives from an off-site storage location to protect my data, even from catastrophe. Finally someone invented the "Easy Button" for backup!  I have been at this for more than 20 years & have used virtually every type of backup from tape, to network drives, to external hard drives, to internal hard drives. The major flaws in all of these methods are that, while it is easy to back up copies of data files, it is often time consuming to recover them: and, most important of all, it is a royal pain to first reinstall the OS and everything else before you can access the data you have so painstakingly preserved. Naturally, nothing is ever lost when all is calm & there are no deadlines!

Last week the hard drive in my Toshiba laptop began to grind. A couple of times I got sort of a modified blue screen of death. Taking a gamble I ordered a new, larger hard drive along with bounce back software from CMS. Yesterday the hard drive Gods were smiling on me - I successfully cloned my old drive on to the new drive and installed it. It took six hours for the cloning but it was successful.
